1. What is the difference between a boiler and a water heater?
A boiler produces hot water or steam at temperatures exceeding 100°C.
Water heaters produce hot water up to 85°C.
2. Do you make both boilers and water heaters?
Heat Transfer do not manufacture boilers, but we do manufacture various water heaters.
3. What anti corrosion liners do your vessels come manufactured with?
Different linings are used dependent on the geographical location.
Coastal conditions are more aggressive than inland and require a more durable lining.
4. What is the guarantee period on your vessels?
Two years on all vessels with Hotline 75 and Phenoline 1205 (5 years available on request) as well as 5 years on Polyglass VEF linings.
All electrical components carry a 12 month warranty.

5. Do you deliver?
Yes, we will deliver within roughly 200km radius.
Delivery to further sites can be arranged at an additional fee.
6. What is your turn around time from date of order?
Generally 3 – 4 weeks dependent on work loads.
7. Do you do installations?
On request.
- Manufactured generally in accordance with ASME VIII Code of Practice, from mild steel, or stainless steel on request. Certification of vessels by an Independent Test Authority is also available on request.
- All mild steel vessels are offered standard with a Hotline 75, Phenoline 1205 or Polyglass internal protective lining, all with 5 year warranties available for aggressive water areas. Galvanised vessels are also manufactured on request.
- Water heaters are insulated with 50mm thick IW24 fibre wool, and are clad with 0.6mm galvanised sheet metal. Both Stainless steel or Aluminium cladding are also available on request.
- The water heaters are supplied standard with Incolloy immersion elements.

- Control Panels with IP54 protection enclosures as standard or to SANS 1042, are fitted and wired to the elements, or are available as a wall mounted option. (Ammeters, voltmeters, timers etc available on request.)
- The units are fitted with dual thermostats which have control and over temperature features.
- All units fitted with an over temperature/over pressure (TP) valve.
- Thermometers and pressure gauges available on request.
- All heaters are manufactured as standard for 400kPa pressure, with higher or lower pressures available on request.
- Units are available from 6Kw to 244Kw.
